For our logo, we chose a pyramid, and a very simple pyramid it is. There is nothing fancy about it.
We chose the pyramid because of the meaning it had to one of the most successful men ever, John Wooden. If you are unfamiliar with John Wooden, I'd try to get on that. For anyone trying to be successful in any field, Wooden is an unbelievable role model. He is the epitome of success.
During his coaching career for the UCLA men's basketball team, he won TEN national championships, including eight in a row from 1967-1973. For context, the next closest coach is Mike Krzyzewski from Duke, who has five.
In the world of entrepreneurship, one should look at the pyramid as the business they would like to build. The foundation of any business must not solely be to make money. While making money is necessary in any business, it can only come at the top of the pyramid. The foundation of the business muse be to help others as well as yourself, and if the business owner follows the building steps of Wooden's pyramid, he/she is bound to accomplish whatever goal or goals they may have.
Our logo is the symbol of our willingness to embody Wooden's principles. At The Small Business Blog, our first mission is to help others achieve their dreams. Whether it is a business that we interview and advertise or an aspiring entrepreneur, we are committed to creating a healthier environment for those who wish to succeed. Anyone who has ever tried to accomplish a goal knows that there are always more critics than supporters. The world wants to tear successful people apart, and our mission is to keep those who are driven on a path to the top of the pyramid!
